What makes Indra different is its unique ability to map and measure the relationships of people. This makes it an invaluable tool for conflict resolution, communication, leadership, and coaching applications.

This name was chosen because DiSC Indra is designed to focus on interpersonal style as expressed in relationships at three different levels.

What is DiSC Indra?

DiSC Indra evolved from deeper research into the underlying structure of DiSC. Since 1993, Inscape has been exploring the structure of DiSC through its ongoing research and development projects, both domestically and in conjunction with its international partners.

As Inscape continued its exploration, a discovery was made about Marston’s original two underlying dimensions that demonstrated a strong similarity to the dimensions discussed in interpersonal theory, particularly those of the circumplex models.

This discovery was confirmed through ongoing item analysis, which suggested the presence of two strong underlying bipolar factors that were contributing to the four D,i,S, and C factors. By using the statistical methods of interpersonal researchers, Inscape researchers discovered that DiSC had, in fact, a circumplex structure rather than a simple two- or four-dimensional structure.

The key significance of this finding is that it demonstrates how all the DiSC styles are related to each other in a circular and continuous manner.

DiSC Indra offers a model of human relational behavior unavailable in any other DiSC-based assessment. This innovative model brings DiSC learning and understanding to the next level - to that of the relationship itself. It maps and measures the relationships of people, providing individuals and groups with feedback concerning the interrelatedness of different DiSC styles.

Detailed Reports Provide Three Levels of Interpretation
DiSC Indra's feedback reports provide insight on individuals, dyads (pairs), and groups. Explore the compatibility of specific people, teams, committees, departments – even the entire organization.

Understanding which styles work best together, which can be effective, and which can hinder the group will maximize effectiveness and create synergistic environments. DiSC Indra is the first DiSC-based assessment to offer this kind of in-depth, targeted feedback.

    The second level represents the dyad level where information is provided about the potential interaction dynamics between two specific people based on their DiSC interpersonal styles.

DiSC Indra represents the integration of DiSC with the concepts and methods of Interpersonal Psychology. The result is a mathematically precise model that helps people measure and explore the interpersonal dynamics of their relationships.

Using a highly developed psychometric model called a circumplex, DiSC Indra explains the interconnectedness of the styles and provides concrete, accurate feedback about how individuals with different patterns interact.
