SELECT offers a suite of web-based pre-employment surveys developed specifically for roles within in-store bank and traditional banking environments.

Available in English. These tests are simple to administer and score and each is short in duration – approximately 20 - 25 minutes.

The SELECT selection system is a online application that only requires an Internet / Web connection and browser software in order to use. It is also available in a paper and pencil format (requires online input to process report).

SELECT for Banking Surveys / Tests

SELECT is a suite of web-based pre-employment surveys developed specifically for roles within in-store and traditional banking environments.

SELECT offers 6 surveys / tests, two of which offer a combination of job roles.

Pre-employment testing provides an objective measure of a candidate’s potential for success, and measures characteristics and abilities not easily identified through other parts of the selection process, such as the interview.

Using pre-employment testing as part of an integrated selection process helps to greatly improve the final hiring decision.

A comprehensive pre-employment selection process measures the competencies and personality characteristics needed in banking jobs.

SELECT for Banking Measures:

   –  Banking specific math problems - optional for bank associates / tellers
   –  Analysis and word problems - bank branch managers

These SELECT test modules also report on areas such as:

   –  Willingness to do common job tasks - bank associates / tellers
   –  Relevant Experience - branch manager
   –  Counterproductive Behaviors - optional for all tests

Job Specific Math Module

With the Job-Specific Math Module, a SELECT report produces an additional index indicating the individual's score within one of 2 ranges:
   –  "NEEDS TRAINING"
   –  "OK."

If the applicant scores in the "NEEDS TRAINING" range, they may have difficulty without additional training, making change or other basic retail operations. If the individual scores in the OK range, they should be able to make correct change, calculate sales tax, correctly compute price markdowns and accurately price merchandise.

Counterproductive Behaviors - Optional

This module includes assessment of attitudes and behaviors related to theft, safety, illegal drug use, job commitment, resistance to direction and work ethic. Options are available to exclude admissions-based drug and theft questions which may prohibited in some states / provinces.

The Counterproductive Behaviors module will highlight certain items within each SELECT survey if they are answered in an undesirable way. There are two versions of this module, attitude-based or admissions-based. Attitude-based questions ask individuals about their personal beliefs. Admissions-based questions ask individuals about prior use or experience (these are relevant to drug use and theft).

Both of which are assessments of counterproductive behaviors and include topic areas of drug use, theft, job commitment, work ethic, resistance to direction, safety, etc. One should use this information to further investigate potential problem areas during the interview or through reference checks.

CAUTION: Questions relating to drug use and theft are prohibited in some states / countries. Check regulations particular to your legal jurisdiction before implementing.

Optional Abilities Testing
Each of these tests measures specific basic skills. Choose from Reading, Mathematics, Graphs, Coding, Charts, and Checking.
