Online Classroom - Features
|
Vital-Online courses offer the following features.
Discussion
The Discussion area is where messages can occur between students and instructors about course-related materials
or assignments in an "asynchronous" environment.
Chat
This is where real time or "synchronous" messages can be delivered. Any student anywhere can
communicate with any other student while they are in the program. In a corporation Intranet environment,
preferences for employees to "chat" only with other employees or specific class groups can be set up
as part of the corporate contract (through the Vital-Online technical administrator).
Lounge
This area is open to all users who are using the program. Corporate and university clients can establish
"threaded discussions" and post questions to their own moderator or any user can post a question.
This becomes a valuable learning resource for future users.
Library
This feature allows clients to customize links to specific sites for their organization. Links to other
resources and sites are already included to enhance the learning after going through Vital-Online.
Assessment
There are many assessment options available. The program has one or more of the following. The program has one or more of the following:
Level 1 Assessments - How the student liked each chapter
Level 2 Pre- and Post-Assessments - What the student actually learned from the training
The program will indicate the percentage of right and wrong answers. Corporations can set up their administration
to track the scores of their employees.
Messages
Communicate privately with any other Vital-Online user. Anyone enrolled in a class can determine the
User ID of other participants in their class by viewing the Class List in the Student Lounge.
Help Desk
Whether an individual user, corporate or university client, questions can be posted to be
answered by one of our experts. Corporations or universities can assign the Help-Desk to have questions
answered only by experts within their own organization. This can be very engaging between employees and
team leaders / supervisors.
Administration
As a part of organizational contracts, there are varying levels of administration that can be set up.
For example: monitor level, user level, course level, class level, campus level and more
Reporting
The participant can see test results for all the courses taken, and determine how much time you have spent online with each course.
