  System Requirements


The following are the minimum system requirements for Vital-Online (Web-based) courses.

Internet
  Vital-Online is written entirely in Java script and HTML
  Server components use standard HTTP protocols
  Everything goes through port 80
  Standard browsers, version 4.0 or higher are used to access the system.

Intranet
  Runs on any platform that supports a Java VM of 1.2 or higher.


Operating System Requirements
Windows 95/98 Pentium 200 32 MB RAM
Pentium II 233         		64 MB RAM

Windows NT Pentium 200 32 MB RAM
Pentium II 233 		96 MB RAM

Unix Solaris Pentium II 233       64 MB RAM
Pentium II 233 		128 MB RAM

Unix Linus Pentium II 233 64 MB RAM
Pentium II 233 		128 MB RAM


Requirements for all levels of users (Administrators, registrars, instructors, students, etc.)
  Internet Explorer 4.0 or higher or Netscape 4.0 or higher
  Most courses do not require plug-ins.
  Telesales and Service courses use Real Player plug-in (this can be downloaded from that Web site.
  SQL or Access Database compatible
  Package includes a powerful built-in Web server powered by Syberworks. It can be configured for use with other Web servers such as Microsoft IIS and Website Pro.
