  Delegating Effectively


The Supervision Series Online utilizes behavior modeling to instill the basic foundations of interpersonal supervisory management.

Delegating effectively is an excellent way to train team members to take increasingly important roles within your organization.

This module gives valuable insight into and practice with the "Three W’s" of effective delegation: When team leaders should delegate; to whom they should delegate; and what explanation they should give to team members. The course also shows how to use delegation as a motivational tool.

For: Team leaders and first-line managers in both office and industrial locations.

Objectives
Managers and team leaders will learn to:
  Understand the importance of effective delegation, as well as the problems associated with the lack of delegating or delegating poorly
  Communicate both the need for and the why of every delegated assignment and task
  Use delegation as a powerful motivational tool
  Use delegation to improve the team member’s skills and expand his/her horizons on the job
  Encourage team member participation and involvement through proper delegating methods
  Specify a team member’s responsibility for a delegated task, as well as to establish a team member’s authority for the task with those affected
  Develop a plan to monitor progress through feedback and review
