  Fundamental Skills of Communicating


The Supervision Series Online utilizes behavior modeling to instill the basic foundations of interpersonal supervisory management.

This module builds the foundation for helping team leaders align team members towards the organization’s strategic objectives. This module teaches team leaders how to maintain team members’ self-esteem, achieve consensus, and encourage others to commit themselves to common goals.

For: Team leaders and first-line managers in both office and industrial / manufacturing

Objectives
Managers and team leaders will learn to:
  See that communication is a two-way process
  Construct clear, concise messages in the interest of the receiver
  Discriminate between a message that is clear and concise and one that is not
  Make use of nonverbal factors to reinforce the intent of a message
  Listen actively to improve communication
  Use feedback as a primary tool in overcoming barriers to communication

The workbook is used to help transfer the step-by-step skills of the behavior modeling process, with job specific case studies emphasizing on-the-job aids and resource material supplied within each workbook.
