How does the Intranet version work?
An Intranet software package is available to customers. This is included in Intranet Installation Package Annual Subscription. Installation requires an on-site installation by a Vital Training Technology Services Team Specialist. Clients have the option to renew their Intranet subscription package each year. The courses selected by the client, from the Vital Learning Library, are electronically packaged and loaded to the Intranet installation.

How does the Intranet version impact administration of the courses?
Once the courses are loaded into your Intranet solution, you will have greater control of the Administrative function of your system. However, Vital Learning can still help you Administrate this, since there are no firewall issues.

How does the customer benefit from the Intranet version?
For those organizations interested in adding their own courses and self-customization, this is an excellent and flexible choice. It also benefits organizations who have restricted Internet access. "Full-Suite" subscriptions are available and pricing is subject to change as new courses / suites are added.

What are the system requirements for the Internet version?
Vital-Online is written entirely in Java. The server components use standard HTTP protocols (no firewall issues and everything goes through port 80). All students, instructors, and administrators use standard browsers version 4.0 or higher, to access the system. Vital Online includes a Java database. Users can plug in any JDBC compliant database with the supporting JDBC drivers. Database drivers are available for Microsoft SQL, Oracle, Sybase.

How does the auto-registration work?
A student completes an information page and selects the titles that they would be interested in completing. Within a few minutes the student is emailed a password to begin the courses.

How does the Vital-Online system benefit community colleges?
The new Vital-Online gives Community Colleges expanded features: Administration; Built-in email system, and Automatic Scoring and Tracking. This provides an easier way for the colleges to manage the courses online.

Are Vital Learning's online courses approved for college credit?
All of the online courses are approved for college credit through ITCAP and Pima County Community College. This allows students the opportunity to take courses they complete online and apply them to an undergraduate degree.

What kind of certificates are available?
Vital Learning has five different types of certificates that a student can obtain, depending upon how many titles they complete. If a student completes all 10 titles, they would receive The Supervision Series Certificate. Other certificates include the Fundamentals of Supervision Certificate, Performance Development Certificate, and the Change Management Certificate.
